Womens Civic League of Portage

The Women’s Civic League club house, former residence of Zona Gale, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Free guided tours are available. Established at a time when it was unusual for women to be progressive, the Women’s Civic League was nurtured through the Depression years, the fifties, and the latter half of the twentieth century. Stop by in August during our annual ice cream social held during Portage’s Zona Gale Days.
